Meet The Team
Syorsha Iyahna
CEO & Founder, Writer, Painter
I’m Syorsha — Family & Community herbalist, creative spirit, and founder of Ahavah, A Place of Unity. My healing journey began with a deep study of the mind-body-soul connection, starting with psychology and biology at Howard University. From there, I explored Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine, studied under herbalists, and most importantly — healed myself through nutrition, nature, and spirit.
Understanding herbs healing power started at home growing up with my mom making various concoctions for me when I fell ill, and they worked even better than what I would take that I also considered, at that time, to be "medicine".
What started as personal healing grew into a practice of community care. With every elderberry syrup, herbal blend, painting, or salve, I share what nature has taught me: health is wholeness, and wholeness is freedom.
As an artist, I portray personal stories and spiritual symbolism into every canvas. Every piece is unique — because art, like herbal medicine, is a vital expression of soul care.
